World Run Countdown: 20 days to go

Back to overview

Can you believe it? 20 days to go until we’re champing at the bit on 35 starting lines worldwide, ready to run for those who can’t. We caught up with International Race Director Colin Jackson, who has some advisory for the big day.

So what are you looking forward to most in 2015?
What excites me the most about May 3 is just seeing everyone from across the globe on the start line, looking both excited and nervous about the start of the race. I get to be at Global Race Control in Spielberg, Austria, so I see nearly every track start in front of my eyes. It's really special!

What can runners look forward to in 2015?
With more amazing staff on the ground coordinating the event, the running experience will be much better, and we can have more people, both on foot and in wheelchairs chairs, from wider age groups out there participating.

How can runners prepare for such a unique race?
If you just think about having a good time and the reason you’re out there, you'll be totally prepared.  Get yourself a running partner – a friend – or build a whole team of them to share in your quest to run as far as you can before the Catcher Car closes in. Be in it together. You can also practice with our new app. Good luck!
