Spinal Cord Injury and Neurotrauma Summer School
Back to overview
In 2012, Wings for Life and International Spinal Research Trust Spinal Research organised a week long summer school in London for PhD students, young clinicians and post-doctoral researchers in neuroscience and related fields to provide a week long training course to review the neurobiology of neurological injury, with a particular focus on spinal cord injury. The school was hosted second time in 2014, in Toledo, Spain, and being hosted for the third time this summer in Germany.
Clinical and basic science lectures, as well as workshops from distinguished specialists in the field will discuss merits and limitations of existing models of injury used in research. The course will provide an overview of the key clinical issues in this field, and of promising translational research avenues.
During the School, students will have the opportunity to present their own scientific work in a poster format. The emphasis throughout the School will be on interaction and scientific exchange with the Faculty.
This year, the school is organised for the last week of June, between 27th June and 1st July in Hattingen, Germany. To learn more about the school and register your interest, please visit the event website at http://www.cvent.com/d/hfqpyy
