Ice hockey, a Garage Sale and a Music-Event

They played ice hockey, cleared their garages and organised a music event. Here are the best fundraising ideas of the last weeks who brought donations to us this days. 

Ice hockey does Charity
At the end of last year Austrian EC Red Bull Salzburg played an exciting home game against the KAC. With signed Jerseys and donations from ticket sales, they raised £4,000 (5.300 Euro) for Wings for Life.


Karting for Donations
In June 2015 Dominique took part in the British University Karting Championships at the Teesside Autodrome, UK. 44 teams competed against one another with Dom’s team, Brighton A, finishing in 17th place. Dom drove for a total of 6 hours for his team and raised £244 (322 Euro) for Wings for Life.

Everything must go!
The advertising agency, Zooom-CEO Ulrich Grill held a Garage sale in Fuschl, Austria, selling bags, skis, snowboards and other useful kit. Zooom-CEO Ulrich Grill has supported Wings for Life many years, and thanks to their original idea, they managed to raise £3,782 (5.000 Euro) for us. 


Riding Across Britain
On 5th September 2015, supporter Fraser Law took part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain. The ride is widely recognised as the UK’s premier long distance cycling event. With over 700 cyclists taking part, riders took in some of the country’s most breath-taking landscapes from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands. The cycle covered 960 miles over the course of 9 days, in which Fraser raised £1,436 (1.900 Euro) for Wings for Life.

Sound of Music
In September 2015, supporter Karen Morris held a Music Festival at the Coleshill Tennis Club in aid of Wings for Life. Over 150 people attended the event and listened to a variety of music including choirs, bands and solo artists. Also holding a raffle at the event helped Karen to raise an incredible £1,443 (1.910 Euro) for spinal cord research.

Salzburg Ducks sell Mulled Wine
The Salzburg Ducks are Salzburg’s biggest American Football and Cheerleading Club. Before Christmas they sold hot spiced wine in Salzburg, Austria. They kindly donated the proceeds of the sales - £392 (518 Euro) to Wings for Life.
