Grand Tri Run 2016
Back to overview
The Grand Shaftesbury Run was launched in 2011 by our Ambassador Nick Ashley-Cooper, 12th Earl of Shaftesbury. Nick is a passionate ultra-marathon runner and suffered his own spinal cord injury in 2009.
Wings For Life is the title charity partner, and the event is now in it's 5th year.
There is a relaxed ethos behind the day and athletes of all abilities take part to enjoy the stunning off-road trails and scenery around the Shaftesbury Estate, (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), while friends and family can relax with good food and entertainment in the grounds of St.Giles House.
The event brings an entire weekend of activities with camping, food and entertainment throughout. Saturday will feature the triathlons with Olympic, Sprint, Novice and Children’s distance, while Sunday will feature the classic running routes of 5km, 10km and a race for children.
Why not bring the family and your friends, make a weekend of it and camp on the stunning grounds of the estate.
