From school projects to athletic performance
-five different fundraising ideas that have supported vital spinal cord scientific research over the last weeks.
Long live the sport!
The 3rd grade students from the HLW HALLEIN tried to bring teenagers and sport closer together. In April, they invited interested people to the sport center Rif, where across six departments professionals offered coaching in sports like dancing, volleyball and soccer. From registration fees and sponsors, they raised a total of €1250 for Wings for Life. “The research of spinal cord injuries is really important to us, we just want to help,” said the students.
At this year’s “ÖTZI ALPIN MARATHON” our longtime supporters Christian Bruckner, Oliver Dreier and Michi Kurz (along with the organizer Ewald Brunner) started again as “Team Wings for Life”.
Touching Formula 1
Once again, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya organized a guided tour of Formula 1 with the Toro Rosso driver, Carlos Sainz. They sold limited tickets and raised €2200, which they directly donated to our foundation.
Green in the city
At the event series in city golf in Vienna, just over €480 were collected and donated to Wings for Life.
Active days with additional value
At the end of April, the ACTIVE DAYS took place at “WIEN MITTE THE MALL”. Here, the focus was on sport, healthy nutrition and family. Furthermore, visitors could support Wings for Life with one euro for every kilometer they ran on a treadmill. “We wanted to convey information and fun at the same time and also do something good”, said Elisabeth Fixl from the marketing management. Altogether, they raised €2100 and donated it all to Wings for Life.
We want to say thank you to all organizations for all their fundraising ideas. Thanks to all donors and supporters – every single euro will go towards funding cutting-edge spinal cord research projects to help find a cure for spinal cord injury.
