The Summer School is back

Back to overview

Since 2012 Wings for Life and International Spinal Research Trust organise a week long summer school for PhD students, young clinicians and post-doctoral researchers in neuroscience and related fields.

We provide a week long training course to review the neurobiology of neurological injury, with a particular focus on spinal cord injury. Clinical and basic science lectures, as well as workshops from distinguished specialists in the field will discuss merits and limitations of existing models of injury used in research. The course will provide an overview of the key clinical issues in this field, and of promising translational research avenues. During the school, students will have the opportunity to present their own scientific work in a poster format. The emphasis throughout the school will be on interaction and scientific exchange with the faculty.

The summer school was already hosted in UK, Spain and Germany. In it´s fourth edition it will take place in Glasgow, Scotland from 1st to 6th July 2018.
