International Spinal Research Trust (Great Britain)

ISRT is a UK-based medical research charity founded by Stewart Yesner in 1980 with the sole remit of funding research aimed at alleviating the effects of paralysis caused by spinal cord injury.

 

The French Institute for Spinal Cord Research (France)

IRME is a private non-profit organization founded in 1984 at the initiative of Jean Delourme, grandfather of a tetraplegic paralysed after a road accident when aged 20. Its aim is to contribute to the understanding of spinal cord lesions by promoting and supporting research on spinal cord injury repair in France.

 

Internationalen Forschungsinstitut für Paraplegiologie (Switzerland)

The IFP was founded in June 1991 on private initiative by SCI patients, clinicians and scientists. The purpose of IFP is to promote and support clinical and experimental research in all fields of SCI. The aim is to make the life of paraplegics easier and, as a long term objective, to cure paralysis.
