“Los Andes”-winner and “Rally Dakar”-favourite supports Wings for Life

Cyril Despres is, besides Marc Coma, one of the world’s best rally pilots. He won several notable rally races like the competition Los Andes Extreme 2009.

In spite of his many achievements he is aware of the danger of having an accident. This is also the reason why Cyril continuously supports the Austrian Spinal Cord Research Foundation Wings for Life.

After he donated his Rally Dakar winner bike to Wings for Life in 2008, he now presented the foundation with that motorbike that he was given for his victory at the Red Bull Los Andes Extreme 2009. For Cyril it is very important to contribute to spinal cord research in order to enable the ambitious scientists, which are supported by Wings for Life, to find a cure for paraplegia very soon in the near future.

At the moment Cyril competes for the victory at the Rally Dakar 2010. The whole Wings for Life team wishes him all the best for this venture!
