Wings for Life F1 Challenge: 1st Check Point
Back to overview
The Wings for Life Formula One Challenge 2015 sees companies race it out over seven months in a formula one style fundraising competition. Running alongside the Formula One season, the teams race to raise as much money as possible for Wings for Life and receive some great benefits along the way: The winners at this first check point attended the British Grand Prix where Britain Louis Hamilton took the top podium spot!
The check point was reached at noon on Friday 19 June with the standings announced by the end of the day. The winning team at this point was Team Mitie closely followed by Team Trilogy IT and JLF Design.
As winners of this half way stage after raising over £3,000, Mitie enjoyed a weekend at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. Team Mitie commented “We were delighted to find out we were in pole position at the half way point of the challenge and as huge F1 fans, being awarded the tickets was absolutely incredible. The motor racing was great to watch and the atmosphere was amazing. We are all even more committed to Wings for Life and encourage every team to work even harder to raise much, much more!”.
With the next check point coming up on 4 September and the finale just two months later on 27 November the teams have still got everything to play for as they race to become leaders at these points to unlock other exciting Formula One benefits. Check point 2 winners will have the opportunity to host an Infiniti Red Bull Racing show car and then check point 3 which is also the finale, the winning team will get to drive the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One simulator at the Milton Keynes Factory.
Huge congratulations to all the team taking part in the Formula One Challenge this year and special thanks to Infiniti Red Bull Racing for their constant support.
