Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge
Back to overview
On Sunday, 18 November 2012, the 16th edition of the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. Almost 30,000 people participated in the race, encouraged by thousands of fans.
The Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge encourages all cyclists to ride for a purpose and make a difference. Ray Roodt used this chance to raise funds and awareness for Wings for Life. His daughter Kerryn was shot in a robbery and left paralysed from the waist down. Ray, who is an enthusiastic cyclist, built a trailer that he could tow behind his bicycle to take Kerryn with him around the route. 50 other people spontaneously joined Ray's and Kerryn's fundraising campaign in support of Wings for Life.
All cyclists of the Kerryn supports Wings for Life team got to the finish safely. Congratulations!!!
We would like to thank Ray, Kerryn and their team for this great initiative and their efforts in spreading the word of Wings for Life.
