Announcing a new partnership

Back to overview

Today, Wings for Life UK and London Bridge City announce a new partnership working together to raise awareness and vital funds for spinal cord research.

The 21.5 acre London Bridge City Estate runs along the River Thames from London Bridge to Tower Bridge and has over 30,000 employee occupiers across 14 different buildings. The estate regularly holds events and entertaining activities throughout the year.  From a free summer festival held from June to October, to fitness programme Project Awesome held every Wednesday morning in the Scoop, to their Christmas Market event hosted in the winter.  In 2016 and 2017, Wings for Life will be present within these annual events and more.

Wings for Life is located within the London Bridge City estate, at 10 More London within the Red Bull UK office.  The Foundation is located here as the beverage company covers 100% of the Foundations overheads allowing 100% of any donation made to go directly towards finding a cure for spinal cord injury.

“We are incredibly excited to be working with our local community throughout the year of our partnership with London Bridge City”, said Hannah Bostock, Partnership Manager at Wings for Life UK. “It is an exciting time in spinal cord research with many global research projects taking place seeing some really life changing progress.  Spinal cord injury can affect anyone, of any age and can change a life in an instant. Wings for Life is committed to finding a cure for this devastating injury and we are so proud to have the London Bridge City community supporting our cause”.

Sophie Kenyon, Head of Events & Communications at London Bridge City said, ‘We are thrilled to be supporting Wings for Life as the annual charity for London Bridge City. It is such a fantastic opportunity to work with a charity within our community and who are committed to curing such life changing injuries with such pioneering research.

Together, Wings for Life and London Bridge City will be holding a range of exciting and unusual activities throughout the year which occupiers and visitors to the area can get involved in.  From hosting building vs building competitions to winning unusual and exciting prizes and experiences, all in the aid of raising awareness and funds for Wings for Life’s spinal cord research projects.
